Marathon’s Outdoor Rated Spray Paint Booths have an integrated canopy, re-enforced structure and heavy duty components that are built to withstand the harshest environment. No protective building required! This model can be ordered with a Spray & Cure heater or without.

Understanding Air Flow

There are really just two types of spray booth air flow:

"Cross Flow"
"Down Draft"

Both are described below...

Cross Flow

With this type of air flow, the air is drawn in at one end of the booth, travels horizontally through the booth, and exits through the opposite end of the booth. Ordinarily, the air travels the length of the booth, although in less common designs the air may travel from side to side. A common design example is shown below.

Front Air Flow

Down Draft

With this type of air flow, the air is drawn in at the top of the booth, travels vertically (down) through the booth, and exits through the bottom of the booth. The most common type is the side down draft (below left), where the air enters at the top and is directed out the sides at the base of the booth. A common design example is shown below.
