Truck & Equipment Spray Paint Booths – Side Down Draft

Marathon’s Side Down Draft Series spray booths are designed to be an extremely cost effective design, because it does not require a pit or sub-floor. That’s right! You get the same air flow as a Full Down Draft, but without the additional cost… the BEST of both worlds! This large paint booth for sale can be ordered with a Spray & Cure heater or without.

Truck & Equipment Side Down Draft

The Side Down Draft Spray Paint Booth is a Down Draft booth that DOES NOT REQUIRE A PIT! That’s right… No pit or sub floor needed, but with all the benefits of a Full Down Draft Booth.

This spray booth is designed so the air enters through the ceiling intake filters and moves vertically, from the top of the booth to the bottom of the booth, enveloping the vehicle with clean, filtered air. Overspray from the painting process is then pulled down and AWAY from the vehicle and operator and captured by the exhaust filters at floor level that run along both walls of the spray booth.

AIR FLOW
Intake:
Outside air enters through filters mounted in the ceiling, then travels through the work area. This type of design does allow for the addition of an Air Make Up unit (AMU), so heating (and/or cooling) are available options. The air travels vertically (down draft) through the booth.

Exhaust: Once the air has traveled the height of the booth, the overspray and particulates are removed by the exhaust filters along the bottom edge of the side walls before exiting the booth. Marathon uses standard size intake and exhaust filter media, readily available from most paint and refinishing suppliers. Marathon can design a solution for virtually any process and environment combination you can encounter. While we have many standard models, most of the booths that Marathon builds and installs are custom solutions.
